John Wyatt
Principal

JOHN WYATT founded Turn the Corner Advisors in response to the consistent need that he experienced as a leader in the world of retail and restaurant development. John repeatedly saw the need for someone to be a driver, facilitator, mediator, advisor and collaborator between executives and internal and external teams as they grew or repositioned their business. He has brought this skill and vision to the concept development and brand turnaround process for retail and restaurant companies such as Michaels Arts and Crafts, Nike, Bob Evans Farms, Inc., Maggiano’s Little Italy, Starbucks and Eddie Bauer. With a background in merchandising, store and restaurant design, and real estate rollouts, John is known throughout the industry as a thought leader – energetic, personable, and a prolific “idea guy” who motivates teams and serves as a sounding board for the future.

He was the driving force behind the development of Nike’s brand flagship stores in London, Berlin and other locations around the globe. The stores were the first retail entertainment concepts in the world and were the predecessors of today’s flagship brand stores for Apple, Disney, and Coke.

He has revitalized both retail and restaurant brands and led the design and development of real estate growth strategies across the globe. He has achieved industry recognition for innovation. His most recent prototype for Aaron Brothers won 2012 Store Design of the Year for Specialty Stores from Retail Design Institute, Chain Store Age and Global Shop.

John holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Business at Northwestern University and Advanced Graduate Studies in Dispute Resolution from Southern Methodist University.  He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
